Can’t make next week’s crab boil? No problem! Check us out next Thursday in the Rockaways! The well loved East Village tradition of summer crab boils moves from Back Forty on Ave B to the Rockaway seaside for three August nights. Catch the evening breeze and watch the sun set while cracking into a bucket of spiced crabs. For three nights, Thursday August 9th and Saturdays August 18th and 25th, Back Forty will set up shop at Beach 96 and serve our crab boil for picnic table eating from 5:00pm til we run out. Buckets are packed with a half dozen spiced crabs, two ears of corn and a handful of steamed new potatoes for mopping up the spicy juices ($25).
It’s eating with your hands at its very best and cold beers from the Low Tide Bar only a few steps away. We will provide table paper, hand towels, and mallets to make an easy cleanup out of any mess. Come by and enjoy a New York City evening at the beach.
